Error in IE8: out of memory JavaScript

  • SOLVED

A client asked me about an odd error. Please see the attached screenshot. This only happens in IE8. I have not been able to reproduce this, even in IE8, yet my client is clearly seeing this. Does anyone have insights about what might cause this?

Hey, interesting, but cannot find your screenshot?

That was stupid of me! I have now uploaded the screenshot.

You probably already seen this, but this is Microsoft's answer on it: [[LINK href="http://nbm.im/69119/"]]http://nbm.im/69119/[[/LINK]]

On [[LINK href="http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3910044/ie6-7-8-out-of-memory"]]StackOverflow[[/LINK]] there is discussion about it too, saying this is likely to happen when playing with iframes by JS in IE, which seems to be the case here too.

I'm unable to replicate the error myself, sounds like fixing this definitely might involve finding a bugged machine and trying to some iframe debugging.

Lawrence Krubner comments:

Thanks. I guess this is simply a matter of tracking down an add-on for IE on that one machine.
